XOJET Achieves 55% Growth in the First Half of 2012.
XOJET reaches milestones for flight hours, industry awards, products, and partners.
San Francisco, August 13, 2012—XOJET, Inc., a leader in private aviation, today announced that it achieved over 55% year-over-year growth in on-fleet flight hours during the first half of 2012. During the same period, the US private aviation industry in whole contracted, flying 4% fewer hours according to data from the Federal Aviation Administration*. Q2, 2012 is the 10th consecutive quarter that XOJET has exceeded the growth-rate of the overall private aviation industry.
"The trend we see in private aviation is that customers are moving away from older business models such as fractional or cards and to a one-stop full-service provider—and our first-half results bear that out," said Stephen Lambright, SVP of Marketing and Business Development. "Our customers are focused on making smart investments, and they’re realizing that they can get consistently superb service and quality without a major financial commitment or risk. Our ability to successfully execute this model is testament to the exceptional professionalism of the entire XOJET team and our partners in the industry."
XOJET also broke numerous sales and operational records during the first half of the year while adding to its history of safety leadership and innovative product offerings. Most notably, in February the FAA recognized XOJET’s commitment to industry-leading safety, quality and reliability programs by awarding the company its Diamond Award of Excellence. XOJET continues to provide leadership and advice to industry advisory boards and safety organizations, such as NATA, ARG/US and the FAA and was again honored to receive the highest safety and reliability ratings from ARG/US, WYVERN, and IS-BAO.
In March, XOJET unveiled another innovative flight program: XOJET Elite Access™, which offers worry-free guaranteed access to the XOJET fleet of customized 100%-Wi-Fi-enabled Citation X and Challenger 300 jets, with as little as 12 hours notice. Breaking new ground, the program offers an unprecedented pay-as-you-fly pricing model that eliminates the need for an expensive upfront purchase commitment and offers a simple $8,500 hourly rate that includes all fees, taxes and fuel.
With the introduction of the Elite Access Program, XOJET solidified its standing as the only private aviation company to offer a complete range of private aviation services and programs. These range from one-time fixed-price charter, custom charter, flexible programs like XOJET Preferred Access™, guaranteed-access programs such as Coast2Coast™ and Elite Access™ and fully customized membership programs.
In April, as a way to deliver this full set of programs to even more customers, XOJET also extended its distribution partnerships with the launch of the Platinum Partner program, whose initial partners are Apollo Jets and JetEdge International. XOJET expects to expand this program in the fall of 2012.
In May, XOJET introduced its Concierge Access program, which delivers global private aviation services, exclusive access to XOJET programs and advantageous pricing to prominent luxury brands. Initial XOJET Concierge Access participants include Virgin Galactic and Jazz Aspen Snowmass, for whom XOJET will be the exclusive private aviation provider. With momentum for this program building, additional Concierge Access participants will be announced in the coming months.
XOJET is structured differently than other private aviation companies. Owning and operating its own fleet gives XOJET a degree of operational control and flexibility that has allowed the company to develop a highly efficient asset optimization system. The result is asset efficiency that is 40–50% greater than standard fractional or charter models—while delivering the highest levels of personalized customer service delivered by pilots and service teams that are both employees and owners of the company. This integrated approach to optimizing both services and asset utility ensures that XOJET can deliver the best possible service at the greatest value to its customers.
