Dan Ramirez joined XOJET in 2017 as the Director of Safety. In this role, Dan is responsible for coordinating the safety management systems at XOJET which includes the FAA Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), XOJET's Flight Operations Quality Assurance Program and the company's risk management functions.
Dan began his aviation safety career as an Air Safety Officer with the Navy's T34C and T6A programs. Upon his departure from the Navy, Dan joined the Embraer Aircraft company. During Dan's ten years at Embraer, he held various leadership positions in the safety and operational departments including Air Safety Officer for the Commercial and Defense business units and Flight Safety Manager for the Executive Jet business unit. In these roles, Dan was responsible for developing and leading functional safety programs for the North American and Caribbean region. In his career, Dan has achieved qualification on the Embraer Phenom 300, ERJ Family of aircraft, and E170/190 aircraft families.
Dan currently serves on the Flight Safety Foundation's Business Aviation Committee, ICAO Regional Aviation Safety Team, and NBAA Safety Committee. Dan has an industrial engineering degree with a minor in aviation management from Lynn University, holds a Master's Degree in Aeronautics with a double minor in Management and Systems Safety from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and a second Masters in Systems Engineering from University of Florida.
