David Colbert joined XOJET in 2005 as Vice President, Technical Operations and now serves as Senior Vice President, Flight Operations. Mr. Colbert is responsible for the aircraft maintenance, reliability, airworthiness, regulatory compliance and value retention of the XOJET fleet.
Mr. Colbert has built an extensive career in aviation, with over 35 years of experience. Prior to joining XOJET, he served as Vice President and General Manager of ACM Aviation, a provider of aircraft management and charter services. Mr. Colbert also spent three years in Saudi Arabia as Director, Maintenance for several U.S. companies, including Imperial Aviation and Atlantic Aviation Corporation, in support of their in-kingdom corporate flight operations. Mr. Colbert began his career at Gulfstream Aerospace in Savannah, Georgia.
Mr. Colbert holds an Associates of Arts degree in specialized technology from the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, where he ranked first in his class. He has an FAA license for Airframe and Powerplant as well as FCC technician licenses. He serves on the Challenger 300 Customer Advisory Board, the NATA Maintenance Committee and the NBAA Maintenance Committee. He is a private pilot with an instrument rating.
